Institut Dr. Schrader Beratungslabor develops cosmetic products for skin and hair. Products for all areas of application are developed according to the client’s wishes: i.e. creams, lotions, gels, decorative cosmetics, sunscreens, hair color, hair shampoos, conditioners, but also deodorants and antiperspirants as well as soaps, bubble baths or cleansers for the skin.

Principal services: research for the skin and hair
For decades Institut Dr. Schrader Creachem GmbH has developed new procedures to test the effectiveness of cosmetic products for human skin and hair. The focus is less on the development of instruments, which we prefer to have developed according to our specifications, but rather more on the development of test methods based on these instruments.
A further area of concentration is in vivo and in vitro testing for hair. In the institute’s own test salon many different products intended for use on human hair are tested under practice-oriented conditions. In laboratory tests (in vitro) the efficacy of hair cosmetics is tested and scientifically evaluated.

Institut Dr. Schrader Hautphysiologie performs efficacy and compatibility testing of cosmetic products on human skin. In this institute cosmetic products are applied under practice-oriented conditions of use by people who volunteer for product tests. Subsequently the results are evaluated by scientists.

Principal services: testing for skin and hair in China
Institute Dr Schrader International GmbH concentrates on testing of cosmetics for skin and hair in Asia. The test institute is located in Beijing (Peking) in the People’s Republic of China. All commonly used cosmetic products are tested. The focus is on in vivo testing, i.e. the test products are used by test persons and the results subsequently evaluated scientifically.
